Roma is the capital city of the republic of Italy, the land is sitated on the Mediterranean. The city is the source of ancient Roman, a famous historical cultural city of the world, and is Italy's centre of economy, culture, commercial and leading politic. Recently Roma is polled for one of the 10 best tourist cities in the world by American magazine Travel & Leisure readers. Roma spreads over on 7 hills on Mediterranean. This is where many magnificient architectures from ancient and middle age are preserved. Most famous area is the Coloseum build from 70 to 76 AD under Emperor Vespsia' reign. This place has been selected as one of the seven world's wonders. The next must come destination for tourists while in Roma is the temple Pantheon, build in 27 AD. This temple is one of the three typical buildings with arts from ancient Roman architecture that is best preserved until today. Tourists can not ignore Trevi fountain, completed in 1762, and is a stunning romantic architecutre. Stopping at Trevi fountain, visitors often throw a coin over the heads when the backs are turned from the fountain and make a wish because Italian belive this will bring luck. Besides the spiritual foods visitors can not miss specialties of Roma. They are Italian ice cream, world famous pizza, delicious spaghetti.
